Tikkun O-Camp: Help Us Get Camp Ready for Summer 2013

Tikkun O-Camp Advertisement 2Camp Harlam is built around a strong mission and a set of core values that define the type of institution Camp Harlam strives to be. We are accomplishing great things, from rebuilding three of our Girls Camp cabins and enhancing our facilities to bringing over 50 people to a food drive run by the Jewish Relief Agency, from introducing new programs and “Wow” experiences to our summer planning to host a virtual Shabbat for over 300 Harlamites nationwide. To culminate this productive year, we are holding one final event that combines two of the values we hold so dear: tikkun olam (repairing the world) and kehilah kedosha (preserving the holy community that is all the Camp Harlam generations). We would like to invite you to the first annual Tikkun O-Camp program on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Camp Harlam in Kunkletown, PA.

We are inviting all campers, family members, alumni, faculty and any other friends of camp to join us for a day to help make camp beautiful and ready for the amazing summer ahead. Projects include gardening, art, hanging bunk plaques, marking trails and much more. Please join our staff and lay leaders as we all pitch in just a little bit to support these efforts. If you are interested in joining us for Tikkun O-Camp on May 5th, please fill out this form by no later than April 15th. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Brett Goldenhorn at or by phone at 610-668-0423.

If you are unable to make it to camp that day but still interested in helping out, we are looking for supply donations of the following products:

  1. Hammers
  2. Rakes
  3. Shovels (both tall shovels as well as garden shovels)
  4. Sandpaper
  5. Hand Saws
  6. Nails (approx.. 1½ inches)
  7. White Spray Paint
  8. Zip Ties

If you have these items to donate or would like to help by purchasing them for Camp Harlam, please fill out the donation section of the registration form (and you may still donate even if you will be present on May 5th).

In addition to signing up for this event, please be a part of the conversation by joining the Tikkun O-Camp event on Facebook today! By joining us for Tikkun O-Camp, you are continuing to make Camp Harlam your own. We hope to see you with us on May 5th in Kunkletown for this incredible event and remember to always…
