Latest Updates from Camp  Love For All!

Love For All!

This evening during our first Shabbat service led by Galil, Rabbi Hannah L. Goldstein read the following in place of Ahavat Olam:ChapelOnTheHill_0770
Ordinarily in our service, we continue with Ahavat Olam- a prayer that recognizes the importance of love, ahava, in Jewish tradition. Today was a historic day for love in our country. This morning the Supreme Court announced the decision that same-sex couples now have the right to marry in every single state in the country. It is a day that you will remember, you will remember that you were with your camp community on this momentous day in our country’s history. So tonight we are grateful for a world where change is possible, we are grateful that we can and will continue to work for justice, and we are grateful for the gift of love.
Baruch atah Adonai, ohev amo Yisrael. Blessed are You Adonai, who loves ALL Your people Israel.
