It’s been another fantastic week at camp! Read below to find out the highlights from each unit. 

Carmel: This week in Carmel was jam-packed! We had an amazing time in the Chavurah village with our buddies, swam at Beltzville, and celebrated fourth of July surrounded by the camp community! Can’t wait for Dorney Day and all of the other amazing activities coming up!

Sharon: Sharon had an action-packed first full week of camp! On Tuesday, we visited Beltzville State Park to swim in the magnificent lake there. On Shabbat, we had Camper Free Choice, so we got to have fun doing the activities we’ve really wanted to do. We finished off Shabbat with an amazing concert from visiting artist Nefesh Mountain. While we were sad to say goodbye to our Intro Experience friends, we can’t wait for our trip to Dorney Park on Monday!

Kineret: We have completely and utterly enjoyed our first full week of camp! At the beginning of this week, the entire unit took a trip to beautiful Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA to watch our Lehigh Valley IronPigs absolutely TROUNCE the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders by a score of 12-3. We had so much fun, the weather managed to hold up, and we even won a pizza! Some of our bunks have had the opportunity to hang out with Lisa David and spend the night sleeping in the Teva treehouse, and the rest cannot wait to get the chance in the coming weeks. Most recently, we just led services on Friday night up at Chapel on the Hill, sharing with the larger camp community in song, prose, and prayer. We can’t wait to enjoy another amazing week at camp!

Arava: This week was filled with a lot of fun! We had so much fun jumping on lake toys and eating ice cream at Dutch Springs. We went on water slides, ate snow cones, and hung out with our friends at the fourth of July carnival! We found out that Arava has a lot of amazing talent at our unit talent show! We can’t wait for the switch from Dorney to Hershey and all of the upcoming activities for next week!

Galil: Galil had an awesome week! We had a blast at Dutch Springs eating ice cream and playing in the lake. The slides at the July 4th Carnival were a great way to cool down on a hot day (as were the snow cones)! We learned about Israel from our Mishlachat (Israeli staff) during a great Israel night. We can’t wait for Hershey park next week!

K’Far Noar: K’Far Noar had a super great week! We loved getting our Kineret buddies and showing them around the village, and especially participating in a campfire with s’mores. We also had a blast white water rafting. Saturday morning we led the camp in services based on the theme kehillah kedosha (a sacred community). We are looking forward to our trip Baltimore next week.

Chavurah: Chavurah had the best week yet! We absolutely loved getting our Carmel buddies and showing them around the village. It’s been extra special getting to tuck them in at night! We had a blast at the 4th of July Carnival and got snowcones and fortunes. We can’t wait for Boston!

Gesher: Gesher had an amazing week, full of experience and learning! We spent this week in our first rotations, spending the week working with all of the departments on camp as well as development, communications, and as cabin CITs! We had the 12 hour experience and got to see what a full day is like as a counselor! The week was brought to a nice close with a dedication T’fillah of Chapel on the Hill and then a relaxing Shabbat! We can’t wait for our day in Hershey Park and learning more in our second rotation in the departments and units!
