Harlam@60 Shabbat Around the World

Celebrate HARLAM SHABBAT AROUND THE WORLD! Join with members of the extended Harlam community to celebrate Harlam’s 60th anniversary through a camp-themed Shabbat celebration.

When?
Friday, February 2, 2018

Who?
Alumni, Current Families, Staff Members, Camp Council Members, and any other friends of Camp Harlam

Where?
Wherever you want! We are looking for congregations and individuals willing to host a Shabbat dinner and/or service for Camp Harlam families and friends. We will send every host a package full of Camp Harlam Shabbat supplies to help you to prepare for and celebrate a Harlam-style Shabbat.

What?
Get together and celebrate Shabbat with your Harlam family wherever you are and eat whatever you want! All you need to do is sign up, host your Shabbat, take pictures and post them using the #HarlamShabbat hashtag, and confirm with us who attended. If you’re not on social media, please email your pictures to Alyssa Kress and with your permission, we will use them on our social media pages.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Wear all white
  • Have a fried chicken dinner or yellow meal
  • Sing your favorite songs and bang on tables
  • Invite current campers to share stories about what Shabbat is like at camp
  • Play camp Shabbat songs around your table or during your Shabbat service

RSVP
To register as a host, please submit this registration form by Sunday, January 28, and we will send you a box of Camp Harlam Shabbat items.

If you have any further questions about the event, please email Audrey Levin.

We can’t wait to see Harlamites celebrating Shabbat together around the world!
