On April 29, Camp Harlam will be participating in the Tour de Summer Camps NJ, a new cycling event and communitywide celebration taking place at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.
The Tour will raise funds for One Happy Campergrants and need-based scholarships that enable children to attend Camp Harlam and other Jewish summer camps. As many families in the Camp Harlam community have benefited from these programs, we want to ensure that these opportunities will be available for future campers.
Please join us in supporting the Tour by selecting one of the following options:
- Register for the family fun day and celebration as a member of the URJ Camps Team. The family fun day will include a 2 mile, optional family-friendly bike ride, kosher BBQ lunch and lots of fun activities hosted by Camp Harlam and other area camps.
- Enroll as a cyclist on the URJ Camps Team. Cyclists (from beginner to expert and anywhere in between) will challenge themselves on an 18-mile, 36-mile, or 62-mile (Metric Century) route.
- Sign up to volunteer with other members of the Camp Harlam community. Volunteers will be handing out water, directing traffic and staffing rest stops along the routes.
- We are also looking for URJ Camps “Team Captains” who will help get the word out and recruit riders and volunteers. Please email Audrey Levin, Development & Alumni Associate, if you are interested in being a captain.
Visit the URJ Camps Team page for more information about the event, to register, and to make a donation towards the URJ Camps Team.
If you have any questions, please email Audrey Levin, Camp Harlam’s Development & Alumni Associate.
