Week 3 did not disappoint! Read below find out the highlights of the week from each unit.

Carmel- This week in Carmel was a blast! We started the week off with going to Dorney Park! We rode roller coasters, water slides and ate delicious food! We also enjoyed our Carmel Pool Party, Science Night and a night at the theater with “Harlam at 60: The Musical!!!” To top everything off, Maccabiah broke yesterday and we are so excited to compete in the timeless Camp Harlam tradition of Color War!

Sharon- This week Sharon was so great! We had a great evening programs such as Sharon’s Greatest Baker and the Mostest Game! We were able to have fun and be active despite the rain! We miss having Sophie around but we love getting to know Aaron. We are enjoying the start to Maccabiah and can’t wait for the rest of this last week of camp.

Kineret- This week Kineret got their K’Far buddies. We had a lovely program together including a flashlight camp fire and song session.  We also had a paint night where we painted ourselves and our counselors! We enjoyed the camp play, Harlam at 60: The Musical. And we are excited to spend our last week of camp laughing, playing sports and creating at Arts.

Arava- Arava had a great time this week. Dan Nichols came to camp and bought us, through song, that we are all connected. Were had a fun night hosting an all Arava FUN., and dancing it our favorite jams at during our pool part. Now that Maccabiah has begun, Arava is having a blast being apart of Division II.

Galil- This week in Galil was so much fun! We had our talent show and America’s Best Dance Crew where we got to create and preform our own dances as a bunk.  Maccabiah just broke and we’re so excited to participate in all the activities and see the hard work our friends and counselors have put into this three day program.

K’Far Noar- K’far had the best week yet! We had our trip to Baltimore where we saw lots of awesome museums, went to an Orioles game, toured the naval academy, and went bowling! We got our Kineret buddies and can’t wait to spend more time with them. We got to do Rak Dan, see (and star in) the camp play, and had Star Wars night. We can’t wait for an amazing final week.

Chavurah- What an amazing week we’ve had down in the village of Chavurah! First we spent three nights in Boston, where we caught a Sox game, toured the city, and even participated in a Senate simulation at the Edward Kennedy Institute. We had a great Shabbat this week, loved seeing the Camp Play, played Capture the Flag, and enjoyed time with Dan Nichols at a camp fire.

Gesher- It has been quite the week in Gesher! We helped coach some of our campers to wins in soccer, volleyball, and basketball over our rival camp Pinemere. On Shabbat afternoon, we had our second session of Quality Director Time, where we were able to ask members of the Professional Staff big questions about the past, present, and future of camp. On Monday, we went on our trip to Philadelphia. We had the opportunity to tour the newest URJ camp, Six Points Creative Arts Academy, which was both fun and illuminating. Later in the day we had some time in Philadelphia proper, exploring Reading Terminal Market and the Franklin Institute before a lovely dinner at Maggiano’s. Since we’ve returned to camp, the fun has only intensified: Maccabiah has begun, and we are judging a variety of events. While we’re not on tha Gaga court or the soccer field, we’re hard at work on the upcoming Banquet! The theme is… well I guess you’re going to have to wait until next week to find out!
