Our first couples of days at camp have been a blast! Read below to find out the highlights from each unit.

K’Ton: We kicked off our week by getting to know each other and introducing our theme of Pokemon! For our first Kiff Kaff period we made our very own Pokeballs. We added a new toy for our splash time, a splash mat that we are absolutely enjoying. As we finish up this week, we get ready for our next theme, spies!

Carmel: This week in Carmel, we did so many fun things! We completed the low ropes course as a unit, welcomed in Shabbat in the Beit, sang our amazing unit cheer and bonded as carmelians. We also had an incredibly messy night of paint tag! It has been so amazing to watch bonds form between the campers. We can’t wait for week 2 to start.

Sharon: Sharon’s first week of camp has been action-packed! We kicked off the session by learning about some camp traditions that we didn’t all know about. This week we had our first Chugim (Arts) and Athletics periods. On Thursday night, we made Sock Puppets. We created backstories for them and played catch with them! We’re so excited to go swim at the Beltzville lake on Tuesday!

Kineret: Our summer has gotten off to an amazing start here in Kineret! After taking swim tests and bunk photos we concluded our first day with Kineret University, a fun and exciting evening program that taught us all about Kineret’s special cheers, activities, and traditions. Thursday was our first full day of camp and it was jam-packed with fun activities, including our first visits to our arts and athletics electives. Though our first Friday night had to be inside, we did have the opportunity to go to our *very first* Rak Dan! We danced our butts off and had a weird and wonderful time! We’ve only been here for a few days but we’re having so much fun already… we can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!!

Arava: We have had such an exciting week in Arava! So far we have had a very messy paint night, we lead a beautiful service Saturday morning and tried so many new activities. We also attended the Iron Pigs minor league baseball game. We are really looking forward to going to Dutch Springs and the 4th of July carnival next week.

Galil: The Unit of Galil had an amazing opening week of camp! Campers had their first ever Chai-lights period and got to participate in some camp favorites like the teaching kitchen, the lake, tie-dye and hanging in the Welcome Center with a member of the pro-staff. We also started our arts and athletics rotations. We can’t wait for Dutch Springs next week.

K’far Noar: K’far had a fantastic start of first session. We kicked off our evening programs with a paint filled trivia night about the counselors. We had high energy at athletics and adventure rotations during the day. We also had a more serious program about privilege and social awareness. After an engaging activity and conversation, K’far had brown time. This is when the whole unit gets some free time to hang out in the village. We also got into fun outfits and danced at Rak Dan. We are looking forward to our rafting trip next week!

Chavurah: Chavurah had an awesome first week! We are loving being in the village and having our own large space. Among regular activities, the highlights of the week were Rak Dan and the teva trip. We saw a beautiful waterfall and got to swim in Beltzville Lake! We can’t wait for Carmel/Chavurah Day!

Gesher: Gesher has had an amazing start to camp! With our participants arriving Monday, we hit the ground running with some leadership training! But don’t let it be said that Gesher doesn’t know how to have fun! On Tuesday we went white water rafting and preparing for campers to arrive on Wednesday! We enjoyed a relaxing Shabbat, and can’t wait to get our first Unit/Department assignments!
