Throughout camp there is an essence of leadership.  As one develops, the leadership opportunities widen.  As Chavurah campers we are given a sense of obligation to be leaders.  In that the chances of doing so are limitless.  We will soon get to be role models for Carmel campers.  We will have the chance to help shape them as people and instill lessons to better them.  In Chavurah, we are given the task to create a project as a culmination of our J-Life lessons.  We all chose topics before camp that we thought were most meaningful to us.  Upon arrival, the topics available to select were freedom, legacy, music and nature.  It was essential that we, as Chavurah campers, took leadership to develop into our topics so we have the education to come up with a something that could expand our knowledge to our friends.  Not only is it important to be leaders of our unit but to be leaders of the rest of camp.  The units of Camp Harlam are expecting our leadership being the oldest campers.  We must have ruach (spirt), treat each other with kindness, and have fun.  By being leaders of camp, we are becoming our best selves.  We are learning new lessons everyday and bettering ourselves as people.  We have no one to thank but camp for this incredible opportunity this summer.

Thank you Camp Harlam!
