It’s been a fabulous start to 2nd Session! Please read each unit’s round up to find out more!

Carmel: Carmel is off to an amazing start! The unit began their summer of fun with Harlam 101. We learned camp cheers, passing and stacking, and even got a demo on proper shower technique. Carmel also participated in their first art, adventure and athletic periods. After many fun-filled days, the unit came (safely) together to enjoy our first Shabbat as a community. After Havdalah, Carmel showed off their dance moves at MTV Night! The unit of Carmel is looking forward to getting their Chavurah buddies and continuing to make long lasting friendships.

Sharon: Sharon had a fun-filled first week!! We splashed around in the pool during free and instructional swim, and we had so much fun during CHAI lights at the lake, teaching kitchen, and Goobie’s course. We competed in Olympic Night, doing fun relays like water balloon toss and three legged race, and we designed outfits for our counselors out of toilet paper and trash bags during our Trashion Show evening program. We ended the week with beautiful Shabbat services and created our own dances for MTV night!

Kineret: Kineret filled their first week with fun and excitement! From free swim and water zumba, to bracelet making and learning new cheers, Kineret has had a blast through it all. We laughed while dressing our counselors in crazy costumes in the “trashion show” and we held each other close during shabbat services. There is so much more to look forward to this session, including the treehouse sleepover, and the first year to party at Rak Dan. On the first night we practiced the staple dances of Rak Dan in our “Kineret 101” evening program, and we can’t wait to show off our moves!

Arava: We are so excited to start second session!!! This week we had T’filah Prep so that we could lead a beautiful Saturday morning service. We talked about finding joy at camp and in life. We also had MTV night, where each bunk got to make and perform a dance for the whole camp…we rocked it! We also got to do athletics, arts, adventure, and so many other fun activities. We had a potato night, where we decorated potatoes, went on a scavenger hunt, and did other exciting potato activities. We also had a country night where each bunk got to form their own country and create a flag and laws. We are so excited for the upcoming week!

Galil: Galil is off to a great start! We started our first round of chugim (arts) and athletics, which included archery, gymnastics, dance, drawing and more! In CHAI lights, we started rotations with Goobie’s course (the new adventure obstacle course), teaching kitchen where we made quesadillas, gaga, and 9 square in the air. We also did low ropes, and had our first Shabbat on the hill! Saturday night was MTV night where each bunk made a dance to perform in front of all of camp! It’s good to be back!!

K’Far Noar: K’far Noar started their session with some fun evening programs including high school night where the kids learned about how to navigate friendships and goal setting. They got to ask their counselors a slew of questions as well, in a panel setting. There have been many games of ping pong played and many bonds created. Our village is teeming with hammocks, which have become a central location for hanging and enjoying the summer breeze. Tonight is MTV night and the unit as a whole is going to preform an awesome dance in front of camp! Our focus for the upcoming week is community and living in the moment!

Chavurah: Happy second session! The double session campers in Chavurah had a great time getting back in the swing of things, and welcoming all the second session campers! We began our session with fun at the pep rally, and getting used to life in the village! We loved getting to sing and pray together at Shabbat, and danced our heart out at MTV night! We’re looking forward to more time together as the session unfolds!
