Carmel: This week was so fun in Carmel! We met all of our bunkmates and staff members, and we played many mixers to get to know each other. We also got our Chavurah buddies!! We got to go to the Chavurah village and hang out all day while swimming, doing arts and crafts, lawn games, and a bunch of other fun things. We are looking forward to the next fun week at camp!

Sharon: Sharon has gotten off to a fantastic start! Campers participated in a program teaching them all about the camp essentials… passing and stacking, the lyrics to “Summertime Forever,” and the important names and faces to know at camp. We’ve also created sock puppets. We are thrilled after a week full of swimming, athletics, nature, and art.

Kineret: Kineret has had an incredible first week of camp! Together, we are getting to know all about the amazing community of Harlam. The campers participated in evening programs, Rak Dan, and Shabbat services. We overcame challenges and experienced camp magic as one family. We can’t wait to lead the Friday service!

Arava: Arava has had an amazing first week of camp! We are making new friends in our bunks and our whole unit. We danced at Rak Dan on Friday night, and we led the first Saturday morning Shabbat service for all of camp! We have done lots of swimming and have gotten to choose different athletics and arts to try. We also went to Adventure, where some of us climbed the tower, went on the swing, and rode the zip line! We can’t wait to make even more new friends and try even more new things all summer long!

Galil: Galil has had a very fun and eventful first week of the summer! Galil campers have had many opportunities to mix and mingle with campers inside and outside their bunks. During our evening programs, we elected a new Camp Director (Unit Head Mikey), danced like K’ton campers, and bonded with our bunkmates during bunk night. Galil can’t wait for the fun weeks ahead!

K’Far:  Hey hey! K’far Noar had an amazing first week this session! We overcame challenges like Goobie’s course and talked about empathy in our university programming. We got to experience our first brown time as one big unit together as we ate cookies and drank milk! We also started preparing for our Saturday morning Shabbat service and look forward to leading!

Chavurah: It’s been an amazing first week in Chavurah! We have loved getting to know our village, sitting around the fire pit, and swimming in the I pool. We even got to take a super fun trip out of camp to go rafting! It was a great bonding experience for the unit. Then we got our Carmel buddies!!! We’re so excited to show so many young campers what it means to be part of the Harlam community. We’re looking forward to another amazing few weeks of first session!

Gesher: This week in Gesher the team became fully immersed in their CIT experience. Each CIT was assigned either a department or unit to work within. We so far have gotten to experience bunk bonding, free swim, adventure, art, and sports periods with our campers and units. Using previously learned training the CITs have been able to put their leadership skills to the test. In the upcoming weeks, we most look forward to spending more time with our bunks, learning how to be good role models, but overall having an amazing summer!
