Chavurah Says Farwell to Their Campers Years
In the Chavurah village, every surface is covered with signatures messages from past campers. These represent the real meaning of camp: The people we have grown up with and the people who were here before us as campers and staff, made many memories just as we have. Now, we join together as a community to remember all of our loved ones who gave us so many memories.
To Chavurah: Camp is within You
Your experiences at Camp Harlam will always come with you. No matter where you find yourself or what you’re doing, you’ll take this summer, and all the summers, with you. I’m so proud of the people you are and the people you will become, and I can’t wait to see you again.
Shehecheyanu Moments
The Shehecheyanu is the blessing for when you do something for the first time. We say it on the first night of all of our holidays. We say it to mark joyous occasions. We said it on our first day of camp in the amphitheater before beginning this fantastic summer.
Where Friends Become Family
What has become clear to me is that no matter how much or how little campers know each other when they get to camp, they leave with a deep level of caring, appreciation, and love for their fellow Harlamites. If that’s not camp magic, I don’t know what is.

Thinking of Others
I didn’t know what to expect. When I started to unpack, I looked around the room for a familiar face, but I didn’t see any. When my bunkmate walked through the doors I was filled with glee. How kind she was, made me want to come to camp again.
I Am Nourished
How can you help nourish those around you that may have less than you? Can you practice and teach Acharayut, in either a physical or spiritual sense, with our friends around us?
Israel Day 2021
All in all it was a great day and our camp had the opportunity to celebrate our Mishlachat and the land of Israel. It was an important reminder that despite the complexity of the state of Israel, there still lays a copious amount of things to celebrate and discover
Taking Care of Others
My friends think of me by making sure I am not alone and I think of others by finding ways to include them. Thinking of others is an important part of life. Always remember that the smallest act could be a way of thinking of others and it could make their day.
Week 2 Round-Up: 2nd Session 2021
This week the Galil campers went on the stream hike, had lots of water fun, and battled each other in cake decoration!! We strengthened our bonds by doing a Cross the Line Evening program. We also learned about our Israeli staff and the state of Israel on Israel Day (complete with a fun carnival!).
