EVENTS AT CAMP HARLAM

A personal visit to Harlam is the best way to learn about us!

Offseason Visits

We offer tours of camp for families in the Fall and Spring seasons on weekdays and weekends. Tours are typically 90 minutes long. You can register here.

If you are unable to visit camp, one of our professional staff is happy to find a time to schedule a Zoom meeting with you or visit you in your home to learn more about your family, share what makes Harlam so special and answer any questions you may have. Please contact Rachel Steinberg at Rsteinberg@URJ.Org with any questions.

ROOKIE DAY: SUNDAY, JULY 14

Rookie Day is a terrific opportunity for prospective new campers to enjoy a full day of fun at Camp Harlam! They’ll participate in group activities (like arts and sports) with other kids their own age, eat lunch in the Chadar Ochel (Dining Hall), hear from “real” campers about what camp is really like, and earn a certificate at the completion of the program. A camp tour and Q&A with our camp directors will be provided towards the end of the day for parents.

For more information about Rookie Day, click here. To register, click here! If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Steinberg.

SUMMER TASTE OF CAMP: AUGUST 10-11

Our summer Taste of Camp is an overnight experience at camp for current 1st-3rd graders (2023-2024 school year), which takes place during our second session. In addition to participating in lots of activities, campers make connections that will help in their transition to overnight camp. This overnight experience will include programming for parents, including a Q&A with camp directors and camp tour.

For more information about Summer Taste of Camp, click here.  You can register for this program here! Please reach out to Rachel Steinberg, Manager, New Family Engagement and Community Outreach, with any questions.

Summer Tours

We are excited to offer in-person family tours on our site in Kunkletown for those families that are interested and comfortable. A member of our Professional Staff team will lead tours for individual families and will adhere to safety protocols and procedures to help ensure the health and safety of all visitors. For questions, please contact Rachel Steinberg at RSteinberg@urj.org.

Summer Tours: We offer private tours on most Sundays – Fridays at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM (with the exception of Friday afternoons and other select dates) and group tours on assigned days. Tours are typically 90 minutes. Register here.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our community is always our top priority. Given our current climate, we have several protocols in place for the day:

  • Vaccination is strongly encouraged.
  • We encourage visitors to take a COVID-19 test at home in the morning prior to your arrival at camp.
  • Masks are optional.
  • If you are not feeling well or have had a COVID exposure in the last 5 days, we ask that you reschedule.

COVID-19 Health Screening

If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Steinberg at RSteinberg@URJ.org.
