Two camps, two homes, so many shared values and traditions. This is what Harlam and Newman provide for my family. I trust this is what all of our URJ camps provide for all our families.
Giving Thanks
Maybe to your friend that helped you with dining hall. Maybe to your counselors who took you to the mirpa’ah. It could even be to your bunkmate for cleaning up their messy area. Try to say thank you when you have the chance and be thankful for the many people who are in our lives.
A Place Where We All Belong
It’s a breathtaking view and it was a moving and beautiful celebration. I hope that these reflections help you to feel the sense of security, comfort, and joy your campers will experience in that space throughout this summer and beyond.

The village is an amazing place to live. We are surrounded by nature and the things that it gives. Even though we are in this sacred holy place, there are many more things and challenges we must face.

Sharing my Grandma Sara’s recipe along with its story, my love of baking and joy of being with the kids….what a perfect day. By the way, I think they loved their baking time as much as I did! Generations ‘doing together’ is simply fabulous.

Becoming a Kehillah Kedosha
Last year in Galil we were all separated into different bunks. K’far has brought us together to create one big community. Although a group of crazy girls running around a bunk may be a community, at camp we try to make every moment together special.
Independence and Freedom at Camp Harlam
The years’ 1776 and 1948 have something special in common. These are the years that my two favorite places gained their independence – America and Israel.
